field trip

first field trip was held last weekend. it was a crazee and fun one as it was the first outing with my coursemates after so many years studying together. was so busy throughout the week that i only managed to blog about it now. very tired and lazy actually but it would be a waste if i keep it to myself. it was a 2 days 1 night trip. went to veterinary research institute in ipoh. we were brought to few labs which were parasitology, serology and bacteriology. so, lets the pictures tell the story.....

somewhere in the institute

bacteria growth on agar

bacteria growth on blood agar - cow's blood cause it's very nutritious

ahh, fellow friends aka future biology teachers

then, after that visit, we headed to gunung lang, also in ipoh, a place situated totally out of expectation. very, very relaxed there. wish i am there again and lay myself on the grass staring at the sky breathing in fresh air. aaah.....
as the trip was named, field trip, so there were tasks and report after that. what a sacrifice. surprisingly we weren't even mind bout the tasks given besides report cause the place was so relaxing that we actually enjoyed doing it. let me list out the tasks....
  • mammal observing and trapping
  • birds watching
  • insects catching and trapping
  • aquatic organism
  • sample water
  • plant collection
